Timetable
Lessons at Campbell High School are organised under a five-day static timetable. There are five lessons each day:
Period 1: 38 minutes
Period 2: 75 minutes
Periold 3, 4 and 5: 60 minutes
The day begins with an 8 minute contact group session where student attendance is marked and daily notices are read. The first lesson every Tuesday alternates between Assembly and Pastoral Care. Our Enrichment program is period 4 every Thursday.
In 2008 we have reversed our break times. We now have our longer break (45 minutes) earlier in the day and a shorter break (25 mintues) later in the day. Research indicates concentration in the early adolescent years is enhanced when students eat complex carbohydrates such as sandwiches earler in the day. We have reversed our break times to encourage students to eat their lunch earlier and top up with a snack towsrds the end of the day.
The curriculum is delivered across seven subject lines. The timetable is set out below and indicates when each subject line occurs.
